Hopleaf “Sister” Spot to Open in LaDonna Space

Michael Roper, owner of the popular Hopleaf bar and restaurant in Edgewater, has financing in place to purchase the space next door – the former La Donna Restaurant.  He plans to open a 90 seat 2 story bistro by year’s end, with Mediterranean cuisine and 20 microbrews.

Montrose Dog Beach

July 20, 2009

I can’t thank the volunteers at Mondog enough.
My Dewey salivates, pants, and squirms as we approach the dog beach at Montrose.  He lives to play frisbee and run in the waves.  It’s a fabulous place for Chicago dogs.
Don’t forget to get your Chicago Dog Beach/Park license, though.  Fines can be stiff.

Bricolage Update

Andersonville Farmers Market is Fantastic!

I hit the Andersonville Farmers Market yesterday, and I fell in love…
Between Clark andAshland on Berwyn (5300 N – 1500W)  there are many booths with treasures.
I found truly wonderful smells and tastes…

sweet smelling and beautiful guest soaps
chipotle salsa (my favorite — my daughter preferred the habanero)
