Just like Goldilocks, you’ll want to work with a real estate agent who’s “Just Right!”.

Not too old (and stuck in her ways)

Not too young (and learning how to write a contract)

Just right – years of experence, hundreds of sale, and still nimble and flexible to ensure success.

This is My Story

I love historic properties (and helping clients get property tax freeze benefits when they renovate), helping parents navigate the Chicago school system (public and private), and guiding seniors (50+) with real estate choices – downsizing, second homes/investments, aging in place…

My husband and I have raised our 3 kids in the city – we’ve lived in the South Loop, Gold Coast, and Ravenswood, but we’ve lived in Andersonville (Lakewood Balmoral District) for 14 years. The kids have been in both private and public schools — Thomas graduated from Payton, Michael will graduate this spring from Jones College Prep, and after 2 years at Lane, Lizzie is now at the Global Citizenship Experience. Our Labradoodle, Dewey, is now 9 years old.

What to expect when you work with Anne…

Call/Text/Email – reach out to me in whatever way is best for you. I respect my clients’ time, so I’ll respond quickly, and in the same way that you contacted me. If you can, let me know your question in advance, and I’ll do research before I get back to you. My goal is to stay in touch with clients on a regular basis, even when they’re NOT immediately looking to buy or sell. So – please call with every and any question that comes to mind!
Even if buying or selling is months away, please touch base now. You’d be surprised what we can do now to set you up for a great experience down the road. Whether just figuring out how much money you need for a down payment, what housing stock might be available in your dream neighborhood, or considering your “right-sizing” next steps. Some clients need 1-2 years to find the right property. Others have to get credit scores in order, save, or readjust expectations. Let’s plan ahead together!
Appointments to see property in Chicago may require 2-3 days notice, so we’ll talk by phone in advance to determine the search parameters that will result in the most efficient search experience. We can see 2-3 properties an hour – we can focus on one neighborhood or see representative properties from several, depending on your situation.
The pre-listing checklist and our conversation by phone makes sure that our time together is meaningful and targeted to your selling situation. When I visit your home, I’ll bring market information, sales data on homes in your area, and we’ll determine a sales strategy based on your personal and financial goals. I’ll tour your home, and I’ll ask what improvements you’ve made and how you’ve loved living in your home. In all, we’ll spend an hour together. I look forward to seeing you!
Our relationship doesn’t end when the sale is over. I provide continuing service to my clients: 1) ongoing market evaluations for estate planning, tax purposes, investment management 2) access to the best service providers for maintaining your home, 3) updates and news you need to know, e.g. triennial property tax reassessments and neighborhood news 4) advice – check in before doing home improvements – how much return will you get? is this a change that will enhance the sale at that later date? Please reach out whenever you could use some help!
