Property Tax reassessment notices are out, and if you want to protest your tax increase, you must file by September 3.

There are 2 meetings scheduled on Chicago’s north side where you can go to learn about property taxes, reassessments, and filing protests to reduce your tax amount.

During this meeting, the Cook County Assessor’s Office will be presenting information on how they arrived at their assessments, provide information on how to appeal their assessment, and verify that residents are receiving all forms of tax relief for which they are eligible.  You do not need to RSVP for this meeting.
